Chip is a native of the Philadelphia area. Educated early on at The School in Rose Valley and Episcopal Academy, he graduated from Dartmouth College and the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He also studied at the Université de Tours in France in 1971 following military service in Germany and Vietnam. Chip was Chair of the Probate and Trust Law Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association in 2001. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and is listed in The Best Lawyers in America, Trusts and Estates, for Philadelphia. He is also listed as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer for Estate Planning & Probate and as one of the Top 100 Wealth Advisers - North America in the London UK Citywealth Newsletter.
